Why Weekly Service is Non-Negotiable in SWFL

Southwest Florida’s heat, UV, humidity, and summer rains push pool chemistry hard. In Cape Coral we routinely see chlorine burn-off, pH swings, and cyanuric acid drift between visits — especially on salt pools. Skipping even one week creates algae risk, cloudy water, and equipment strain that costs more to fix than a full season of preventive care.

At Pool Armor Pros, every weekly visit includes complete chemistry testing, appropriate chemical dosing, and equipment inspection. Our SWFL-optimized salt cell targets — pH 7.3 · TA 50 · CH 300 · CYA 60 · salt 3,000 · FC 4–5 ppm — keep your water crystal clear and your salt chlorine generator running efficiently. Targets follow PHTA (Pool & Hot Tub Alliance) industry standards, tuned for SWFL’s hot, humid, salt-cell-dominant pool environment. You’ll see every reading, every chemical added, and every photo in your customer portal after each visit.

What Your Weekly Visit Includes

Chemistry testing, dosing, and your digital report come with every plan. Cleaning tasks like skimming, brushing, and vacuuming scale with your tier — see the packages below.

🧪 Chemistry Test & Balance

Full 7-point water test: free chlorine (FC), total chlorine (TC), pH, total alkalinity (TA), cyanuric acid (CYA), calcium hardness (CH), and salt. Readings logged to your portal.

💊 Chemicals Added

All standard chemicals included in your monthly rate. We bring liquid chlorine, muriatic acid, stabilizer, salt — whatever your pool needs that week.

🗑️ Surface & Basket Care

Surface skim, empty skimmer basket, empty pump basket. Debris management before it clogs your filter. (Included from the Aqua Pure tier up.)

🔧 Equipment Inspection

Pump pressure check, visible leak scan, salt cell indicator review, timer verification. Early warning catches problems before they become repairs.

📱 Digital Service Report

Photos, chemistry readings, tasks completed, and technician notes delivered to your portal after every single visit. No guessing what was done.

💬 Real Communication

Call or text the owner directly. No offshore call centers, no generic auto-replies. Questions get answered same-day.

Weekly Pool Service FAQ

Straight answers to the questions every SWFL pool owner asks before hiring.

How much does weekly pool service cost in Cape Coral?
Weekly pool service in Cape Coral starts at $115/month for our Crystal Clear chemistry-only tier and goes up to $245/month for our full-service Pool Perfection tier. Zone surcharges apply for other cities: Fort Myers/Estero/Bonita +$25/mo, Naples/Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda +$35/mo, and Sanibel/Captiva +$65/mo due to causeway access. All chemicals are included in the monthly rate.
Which tier should I choose for my pool?
Crystal Clear ($115) is chemistry-only for owners who handle skimming and brushing themselves. Aqua Pure ($135) is basic weekly maintenance for caged pools — skimming, wall brushing, and basket emptying (no vacuuming). Deep Clean is our most popular tier — full service at $155/mo for caged/screened pools (with monthly vacuuming) or $185/mo for open-air pools (with weekly vacuuming, since they collect heavier debris). Pool Perfection ($245) is our premium set-and-forget tier with quarterly filter and salt cell cleaning plus two phosphate treatments per year.
Are chemicals really included?
Yes. All chlorine, muriatic acid, stabilizer (cyanuric acid), salt, and standard balancing chemicals are included in every tier. Specialty treatments — like phosphate removers, metal sequestrants, or heavy algaecide — are available as flat-rate add-ons (see Pool Add-On Services section above) or come included in our Pool Perfection tier.
What pool types and equipment do you service?
We service all pool types common in SWFL: in-ground pools with plaster, PebbleTec, Diamond Brite, fiberglass, or vinyl liner finishes; above-ground pools (Intex, Bestway, framed); caged/screened or open-air; salt water, chlorine, bromine, and mineral system pools. Equipment-wise we service variable speed pumps (VSP) including Pentair IntelliFlo, Hayward TriStar, and Jandy ePump; cartridge, DE, and sand filters; salt chlorine generators (Pentair IntelliChlor, Hayward AquaRite, Jandy AquaPure, AutoPilot); automation systems (Pentair IntelliCenter, Jandy AquaLink, Hayward OmniLogic); gas heaters and heat pumps; and all major pool cleaner systems (in-floor, Polaris, Kreepy Krauly, robotic). See the Pool Types & Equipment We Service section above for the full list.
What chemistry targets do you maintain for SWFL pools?
For salt cell pools (most SWFL homes), our targets are pH 7.3, TA 50, CH 300, CYA 60, salt 3,000 ppm, FC 4-5 ppm. Targets follow PHTA (Pool & Hot Tub Alliance) industry standards and CDC Model Aquatic Health Code recommendations, tuned for SWFL’s hot, humid, salt-cell-dominant environment. We also track Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) for water balance and CYA-to-FC ratio (7.5% minimum FC of CYA) to prevent algae blooms. Commercial pools follow Florida DOH 64E-9 public pool code.
What add-on services do you offer?
We offer 18 pool add-on services across 4 categories: most-common add-ons (phosphate treatment, salt cell cleaning, filter deep clean, equipment diagnostic, heavy shock), equipment replacement (filter cartridges, salt cells, baskets — labor + parts at cost), specialty chemistry (algaecide, metal sequestrant, stain & scale, calcium hardness, CYA adjustments), and major services (waterline tile cleaning, partial drain & refill, equipment pad pressure wash). Add-ons during your regular weekly visit have no trip charge. See the full Pool Add-On Services section above.
Do you get proof of each service visit?
Yes. After every weekly visit you receive a digital service report uploaded to your customer portal. Reports include chemistry readings, chemicals added, tasks completed, equipment notes, and photos. Seasonal residents rely on this documentation to maintain their pool while up north — our Cape Coral clients consistently tell us it’s the #1 reason they switched from their previous company. Access your portal anytime at poolarmorpros.com/customer-portal.
Do I need to be home during service?
No. We just need gate access. Many of our Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Naples clients are seasonal residents or work full-time. You’ll receive your digital report after every visit so you always know exactly what was done.
Can I save money by prepaying?
Yes. We offer three prepay tiers: 5% off 3 months, 8% off 6 months, and 12% off 12 months (plus priority scheduling). A 12-month Aqua Pure prepay saves ~$194/year — equivalent to about 6 free weeks of service. See our prepay comparison above.
Do you service above-ground pools?
Yes. We service both in-ground and above-ground pools across SWFL. Above-ground pools typically fit into our Aqua Pure or Deep Clean tier depending on size and whether the pool is screened. Request a free quote and we’ll recommend the best tier for your setup.
What if my pool turns green between visits?
Heavy rain, bather load, pets, or algae blooms can cause green water between weekly visits. For minor cases we add treatment during the next scheduled visit. For significant algae, see our Green-to-Clean Recovery service — a multi-visit package starting at $275 with shock treatment, filtration overhaul, and multi-day cleanup.
What’s your cancellation policy?
You can cancel weekly service at any time with 30 days written notice. No cancellation fee. Prepaid months beyond the cancellation date are refunded on a prorated basis. Snowbird customers can pause service 4–6 months/year at no fee — though we recommend minimum service during absence to prevent algae and chemistry drift. Full terms in our Terms of Service.
