Paver Joint-Sand Selection
Why Traditional Joint Sand Is Usually Better Suited to Southwest Florida
Our standard process uses clean, dry traditional joint sand followed by a compatible premium joint-stabilizing sealer. Polymeric sand may be considered in unusual scenarios, but it is not our standard recommendation for most Southwest Florida paver projects.
Persistent moisture complicates curing
Frequent rain, high humidity, irrigation, shaded lanais, pool-deck moisture, and slow evaporation can prevent polymeric sand from drying and curing uniformly. Premature moisture can contribute to softness, haze, washout, or inconsistent bonding.
Paver movement can damage rigid joints
Pavers move slightly from traffic, heat, drainage, settlement, and normal base movement. Rigid polymeric joints can crack, separate, or flake out when that movement occurs.
Our premium sealer stabilizes the joints
The premium sealing systems we use incorporate joint stabilization that hardens properly installed traditional sand and helps reduce washout. For most qualifying projects, that eliminates the practical need for a separate polymeric binder.
Limited-use option: Polymeric sand can still be evaluated when joint dimensions, drainage, exposure, forecast conditions, substrate movement, and manufacturer requirements make it appropriate. Any polymeric-sand installation is separately evaluated and quoted.

Service Questions
Services FAQ
What is Pool Armor Pros’ primary service?
Residential weekly pool cleaning is the primary service. Green pool recovery, storm clean-outs, spa maintenance, pressure and soft washing, paver and concrete sealing, roof sealing, polyaspartic flooring, and commercial and HOA exterior services support the core pool-service business.
Do you offer commercial or HOA service?
Yes. Pool Armor Pros offers custom-quoted exterior cleaning, sealing, and qualifying polyaspartic flooring for commercial properties, HOAs, condo associations, apartment communities, and property managers. Scope, scheduling, documentation, payment terms, minimums, and pricing are confirmed in the written QuoteIQ estimate.
How much does polyaspartic flooring cost?
Light Broadcast starts at $8.00 per square foot, Medium Broadcast at $8.25, and Full Broadcast at $8.75. Full Broadcast is the most popular option. Customers choose both the pigmented epoxy base color and decorative flake blend, and final scope is confirmed in the written QuoteIQ estimate.
Do you perform major repairs?
No. Major pool and spa equipment repairs, roofing repairs, structural work, electrical work, and major plumbing reconstruction are outside our service scope.
Can I combine pool service with exterior work?
Yes. Pool clients and other property owners may request multiple compatible services under one written scope. Any project-specific package adjustment, minimum, exclusion, or discount must be confirmed in the written QuoteIQ estimate; no automatic blanket discount applies.
How do recurring-service zones affect pricing?
Cape Coral is the base recurring-service zone. Each additional pool or standalone spa service zone adds $10 per month to account for drive time, fuel, vehicle expense, and route efficiency. Same-property spa bundle pricing remains flat because the spa is completed during the existing pool visit.
How are pool and spa add-ons charged?
Add-ons are billed at the listed per-occurrence rate when completed during the normal weekly visit. If the work requires a separate visit, one $95 call-out charge is added to that trip. Filter cleaning and salt-cell cleaning are $65 per occurrence and are generally recommended quarterly when applicable.
Why do you normally use traditional joint sand instead of polymeric sand?
Southwest Florida rain, humidity, irrigation, shaded areas, and slow drying can interfere with polymeric-sand curing. Rigid polymeric joints may also crack or flake as pavers move. Our premium joint-stabilizing sealer hardens properly installed traditional sand, so polymeric sand is generally unnecessary. It may still be considered for unusual projects after an individual evaluation.
How is roof square footage calculated?
Roof pricing uses the final billable roof surface area rather than only the home’s ground-level footprint. Applicable pitch, peaks, hips, valleys, dormers, and multiple roof sections are incorporated into the final measured area.
